I will forever be grateful to Port City staff and veterinariansWritten by Rachel Di Luca | Newburyport, MA Hospital: Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital

I was referred to Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital when my beloved cat Albert was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the jaw. On our first visit, we met with Dr. Kow who was incredibly kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He took time to clearly explain Albert’s illness, as well as all treatment options and risks. Dr. Kow was so caring and it never felt as though we were being judged or rushed out of the hospital. He answered my hundreds of frantic questions with patience and ease. He is truly a wonderful veterinary oncologist. A few weeks after our initial visit, Dr. Kow and the rest of the staff at Port City treated us just as nicely when Albert fell ill with complications. Most importantly, when it came time to say goodbye, Albert and I were treated with gentleness and respect. It was a peaceful ending to a sad and difficult journey. I will forever be grateful to Port City staff and veterinarians. I highly recommend them for pet emergencies and specialty care.
