Our new Emergency service hours will be:
Monday – Friday 5pm – 8am
Saturday, Sunday – 24 hour coverage
We will be open 24 hours on the Fourth of July.
Beginning June 1, 2016 SAVES Emergency Service will transition to nights and weekends. The Surgery service at SAVES will not be impacted by this transition, Dr. Headrick will continue to provide surgery services Monday – Thursday. Procedures for surgery and surgical aftercare will not change. We will have an ER technician and our client care team on site from 6am-6pm on Mondays-Fridays to assist clients by answering questions about discharges or rerouting clients back to their referring veterinarians for day time emergencies. Patients requiring continued hospitalization in the morning will be transferred to their primary veterinarian or another ER/Referral facility. Overnight patients will be discharged by 8am. As always and especially during this transition, we are aware that our communication with the primary veterinarians will be key.
Small Animal Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (SAVES) is the newest member of the IVG network of hospitals. SAVES provides 24-hour emergency/critical care. Over the course of the next year, we will be adding a board certified veterinary surgeon and veterinary internal medicine specialist. Our hospital is dedicated to providing compassionate medical care to all of the pets entrusted to our care. Your pet is a part of your family, we understand and deeply respect the nature of your bond, and we strive to treat you and your pet with the utmost empathy.
SAVES has been providing emergency veterinary services to the Upper Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont since 1990. In October 2014 SAVES joined the IVG network of hospitals, making it the second IVG hospital in New Hampshire, and the fifth overall. The entire staff at SAVES is devoted to providing an environment that treats both you and your pet with respect and empathy.
Our skilled veterinary team is committed to maintaining regular and open lines of communication with yourselves – the pet owner – and your family veterinarian. We are proud to provide our clients with timely access to 24 hour emergency services every day. SAVES veterinary emergency hospital is never closed and patients are monitored 24 hours per day. At SAVES, you can rest assured that your pet is always in the reliable care of an experienced practitioner.
