That was 3 weeks ago – today is her 11th birthday and she … acts like she’s 5Written by Sue and Dan Noyes | Belmont, NH Hospital: Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital
Casey stopped eating suddenly one day and we knew immediately there was something seriously wrong. So we brought her to our local ER Vet and they said her heart sounded very bad and her chest and stomach were completely full of fluid. The following day, we took her to our regular vet, he took one listen to her heart and said that something needed to be done immediately. She was in very critical condition. Our vet contacted Mass Vet Ref Hosp and they said we could bring her right down. Dr. Hatton did an EKG and said the fluid build up around her heart was causing her heart to work extremely hard – she agreed with the other vets – something needed to be done right away. She consulted with Dr. Davis and heart surgery was scheduled for the very next day.
That was 3 weeks ago – today is her 11th birthday and she runs around and acts like she’s 5. It’s been an amazing turn around.
I truly believe that had it not been for the quick action on everyone’s part, Casey would not have lived to see this day. We are eternally grateful and feel blessed for every day we have with Casey.
Thank you so much for the time you’ve given us!
