Thank you all for your dedication & creativity – 4 years later, our little guy is happy, healthy, playful and a joy.

We can’t thank Dr. Silver and Dr. Troxel enough for going above and beyond to save the life of our dog. Born with a catastrophic malformation in his brain, he was given virtually no chance of survival by almost every vet who viewed his MRI images. These dedicated doctors left no stone unturned and after consultations with innumerable colleagues, Dr. Silver offered to perform experimental surgery on our little guy which she and Dr. Troxel performed on him at age 4 months and saved his life. As they’d predicted, he eventually needed additional neurosurgery for a shunt but four years later, he runs, swims, plays, catches mice and woodchucks, and is a testament to their talent and skill. We can’t say enough about the compassion and caring we were shown by all of the staff we dealt with through many hospitalizations, MRI’s, surgery, and follow-up visits. We always were made to feel as though he was the most important patient and we were the most important family in the world. But what saved our little guy was Dr. Silver’s determination to find a way to fix a problem that had been repeatedly described as “catastrophic” and “inoperable” by almost every expert who reviewed his case.
