Our 10 year old is a 6 year old puppy again

Written by Don Greenstein | Natick, MA Hospital: Boston West Veterinary Emergency and Specialty

Our 10 year old Golden, Zoe, was having a leg issue.  Our vet had told us that she had arthritis, and what appeared to be an ACL issue in a rear leg knee.  We were hesitant and concerned about surgery of this type on a 10 year old.  She also had mast cell tumor issues, which needed to be removed.  With sad trepidation we saw Dr. Amato thinking this may be the beginning of our beloved Zoe’s demise… Well 3 months post (two) surgical operations, our 10 year old is a 6 year old puppy again.  She loves the snow (a December baby, born in the snows of 2004), she is again romping and being her wonderful loving “Golden” angel snow puppy.  We are grateful and very appreciative to the entire team at IVG MetroWest for their care, concern, and love of animals!
