Dr. Silver performed surgery on his spine …

Written by Eamonn, John & Susan | Lexington, MA Hospital: Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital

BradyMy best friend Brady, a 7-year-old Lab mix, was hurt in May of 2013 with a spine injury and wound up paralyzed in his back two legs.  This was devastating as Brady has been a part of the family since he was 8 weeks old,  and now we thought he would have to be put to sleep.

However, from the moment he arrived at the Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn I knew that he was in good hands.  The entire staff was so incredibly friendly, helpful and understanding.  Then we met Dr. Silver, who is truly a miracle worker.

When it became clear that Brady would not heal on his own, she performed surgery on his spine that was able to correct the problem and after a week or so of rehab in the hospital he was able to return home.  Brady’s condition improved daily to the point where within a few months he went from being completely unable to walk to being able to swim and enjoy life fully as a dog should!

One year later Brady is able to do everything he could do before the accident and none of it would have been possible without Dr. Silver and everyone else on the staff at IVG Woburn!!  Thank you all so much!!
