Dr. Krista Vernaleken received her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003.  She joined Bulger immediately after graduation.  Dr. Vernaleken works in both the emergency department and the general practice but her true love is in general practice and dental care of companion animals.  She has taken a special interest in canine and feline dentistry, and has completed additional training in advanced dentistry.  In 2010 Kr. Vernaleken became certified in the PennHIP radiographic method for evaluating the hip conformation of dogs.  In 2011 she became the Medical Director at Bulger.
