Dr. John Prentiss earned his Bachelors of Science in Animal Nutrition from Colorado State University; where he went on to complete a Masters in Reproductive Physiology. After graduating from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1974, Dr. Prentiss joined a small animal practice north of Boston, Massachusetts. In 1978, he purchased Bulger Animal Hospital and established what is today the IVG Network of Hospitals. Dr. Prentiss retired as a veterinarian in 2007. In 2009 he retired from daily management of the business, though he remains actively involved with other interests in the veterinary industry.
