Dr. Phillips earned her veterinary degree in 1998 from Atlantic Veterinary College at University of Prince Edward Island in Charlottetown, Canada. After graduating, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Franklin Park/Berwyn Animal Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. From there, Dr. Phillips went on to complete a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. Dr. Phillips was accepted as a Diplomate into the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2002. She has worked as a staff internist at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital since 2002. Her special interests include nephrology, gastroenterology and the medical treatment of perianal fistulas and immune-mediated diseases. She is skilled in abdominal and cardiac ultrasound (general cardiology) as well as endoscopy of the intestinal, respiratory and urinary tracts.
