Chocolate reduces risk of stroke in menWritten on August 30, 2012 by Mark Troxel, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology) Hospital: Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital

Another reason to eat chocolate! Many studies have shown that chocolate has beneficial cardiovascular effects. A recent prospective study & meta-analysis in men showed that moderate consumption of chocolate (median 62.9 g/week) reduced the risk of stroke by 17% compared to people that do not eat chocolate. A similar finding has been reported in women in earlier studies.
