Charity for Animals and People Alike From the IVG Network

As a part of our ongoing mission to serve as a leader in the veterinary field and in the local community, we provide charity not only for animals and animal-related efforts, but also for people in need. Through our many philanthropic causes, including fundraisers, food drives, blood drives, participating in community events, and more, the IVG network of hospitals strives to improve the quality of life for the pets and people in our communities, nationally and even internationally.

Providing charity for pets and people allows members of our veterinary group to work together as a team outside of the office and within the local community. We continuously work to form strong bonds with not only our patients, but also fellow veterinary professionals, local breeders and pet owners. By focusing on common causes, IVG team members are able to build strong networks outside of their everyday work lives, and provide much-needed services and aid to animals and families less fortunate than our own.

Together, we can make a difference and provide charity for animals in need - to learn more about our current philanthropic causes or to schedule an appointment at one of our hospitals for your pet, please call the location nearest you today.

Learn About Our Philanthropic Causes

A guiding principle at IVG is our respect for the human-animal bond. It informs many of the decisions we take every day. It seeps into everything, including our hiring decisions. As a result, the team at IVG is deeply committed to aiding animal charities and providing support to philanthropic causes associated with improving the lives of the animals and the people who love them.

IVG annually provides financial support for team members who are interested in donating their time and expertise to charity for animals and philanthropic causes.

We support a myriad of diverse philanthropic causes, such as:

  • Providing local fire stations with oxygen masks for animals during rescues
  • Providing veterinary CPR training to local fire departments
  • Donating stockings packed with pet treats and toys for the holidays
  • Supporting no-kill animal shelters
  • Partnering with other charitable partners to donate 10,000 pounds of pet food to low-income families
  • Raising funds toward adult and pediatric cancer care and research
  • Annual blood drives for the Boston Children's Hospital
  • Project Samana, an annual program providing spay/neuter relief work in Samana, Dominican Republic
  • International Spay Neuter Network, a spay/neuter relief effort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica
  • Galgos Rescue International Network, a non-profit international organization providing help for the Spanish hunting dog, ultimately helping to place these dogs in U.S. homes
  • Villa Lobos Pit Bull Rescue, a group that fosters unwanted pit bulls in New Orleans, Louisiana
  • World Vets, a program providing international aid for animals, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of animals by providing veterinary aid and training in developing countries and by providing disaster relief worldwide. This program currently serves 39 countries on six continents and is actively expanding to additional countries every year.
  • Operation Delta Dog, a local non-profit organization with a mission to rescue homeless dogs and train them to work as service dogs for veterans who are suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and related challenges
